Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Job Description

We are looking for an  Accounts Receivable Team lead, to lead our AR function and team based in our East Tamaki office in Auckland, where we currently have a hybrid work policy (3 days WFO / 2 days WFH). Your main goal will be to manage JDE New Zealand’s Accounts Receivable function ensuring company policies, procedures, objectives and KPIs are adhered to and enhanced where possible. You will make use of SAP, TAS and Excel. Are you up for this challenge? 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and coach a team of 4 AR Specialists
  • Lead reporting for the AR function (monthly AR reporting, analysis of overdues and OWC management, cash flow forecast of receipts)
  • Manage & complete AR tasks across the team ensuring completion by daily and month-end reporting deadlines – receipting, customer allocations, customer claims, consolidated invoicing, credit control management
  • Review & complete customer reconciliations
  • Be hands on and work on AR activities, together with the team
  • Lead improvement initiatives for AR processes and assist with year-end audit requirements

For this role as an AR Team Lead, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • You have experience leading a team and are a true leader
  • You have 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable / credit control, ideally in a large-sized commercial business similar to JDE
  • You ideally have experience working with SAP, or with similar ERP systems
  • You have intermediate Excel skills
  • You have a hands-on mindset and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to get the work done
